Kelvin Capital, the new West of Scotland based Business Angel syndicate, has completed its second investment within a month.
Following on from the recently announced £50k investment in PWB Health Ltd (PWB), Kelvin Capital has secured a six figure investment for Vegware Ltd (Vegware).
Vegware is an innovative bioplastic food packaging and catering disposable company offering a complete suite of products to the catering industry. The funds will be used to accelerate the growth of the company throughout the UK and support its exports to the USA.
In addition, Kelvin Capital have introduced investors who have excellent contacts in the industry to further boost the development of the company.
John McNicol, CEO of Kelvin Capital said "Vegware has a fantastic suite of bioplastic products to replace the traditional non-biodegradable products used in this industry. There is strong growth potential in the market as companies move to more environmentally friendly products. Vegware is a good example of a company in the renewable sector which Kelvin Capital is keen to support."
"In respect of further deals, we are tracking a strong portfolio of technologies where we believe we can deploy both capital and resource to grow companies of significant scale. We already have overseas investors investing with us and are in talks with other international investors to expand our capital base. We expect to make further investment announcements over the coming months."
Kelvin Capital is offering a new approach to early stage business investment through closely working with a vastly experienced group of investors, associates and advisors.
Kelvin Capital will invest in deals that leverage our investors and associates strengths with a particular focus on medical devices, biomedical devices and in the energy and renewable sectors. In this way Kelvin Capital are more intimately involved with the companies that it invests in.
