Whilst most of our investors are based in Scotland, we also have investors located in other parts of the UK and also international investors. As important as capital, is the experience and networks of our investors which can be brought to bear to grow our portfolio companies.

A recent report from NESTA/BBAA indicated that the IRR on a sample of 406 exited investments was 22%, the equivalent US survey indicated a return of 27%.

There are substantial income and capital gains tax advantages for UK investors investing in this area. There may also be tax efficient structures for international investors, depending on the jurisdiction.
